Woolly Rascal by Krys Bailey

Shot this around a month ago – I bet this little lamb has grown. The mother sheep are very protective so getting the little woolball on her own was lucky! It’s a shame the lambs lose their attractive coat patterns as they grow up. Background partly removed.

I’ve heard of Baa Baa Black Sheep, but not black and white sheep! What a little beauty! You did remarkably well getting his face to show; I tend to lose detail on dark faced subjects. I also love the fact that the rich wooly texture of his coat is so visible and practically tangible. Love lambs so this touches my heart.

  • Thanks Bonnie! I use the shadow/highlights tool in PS to try to lighten the darker areas but you have to be careful as it can end up very grainy. Fortunately this was shot on a dull day so it didn’t start off as contrasty as it might have done.

Wow; what an expression! It’s sort of like “I am here baby … like it or not”.
Great capture Krys, and well done as always :)
