Probably one of the most photographed places on the planet, but at least I struck lucky and managed to get 5 of the 11 resident llamas to stay put while I got some shots. Machu Picchu, Peru.

Wow, this landscape is so amazing. My avian doctor (Sidney’s doc) is going to Peru soon, to study wild Macaws. Did you see any there?

Thanks Kimmie. Peru is apparently a top location for bird-lovers. I didn’t see Macaws (we were in the high altitude and coastal regions, not the jungle) but did encouter a delightful Toucan and some Condors!

This is awesome. I really want to go here one day and hike the Inka Trail. (and pet a Llama)

Thank you Maria! I wasn’t brave enough to do the Inca trail, but I did pat some llamas and alpacas – even a Vicuna! Hope you get there one day!
