I love snow leopards. This is a particularly great image of him. He looks half interested in making a meal out of a photographer too.

Thanks John! I think he spotted something in the woodland behind me – probably a wild bunny. All I had to do was put me between him and his gaze and voila! :o) I’ve known him since he was a cub – I think he already decided I wasn’t very tasty.

I photographed some snow leopards at the Stone Zoo near Boston, and one looked right at me… felt like it was right through me… gave me shivers. Beautiful animals.

Yeah, they are my favourite big cats! I love the way their fluffy tails trail along the ground. Marwell Zoo has had a good success with breeding these critters – I’m very lucky – they have a lot of big cats and are just down the road from me! ;o)
