Richard G Witham
Wow: You really captured the motion here with those bubbles enhancing the sense of movement … so graceful. Wonderful detail too.
Krys Bailey replied
Thanks Richard! Just wanted to show how graceful these guys are in the water when they look so comical on land! He was very obliging – keeping nicely to the front of the tank so there was no watery haze in the photo! ;o)

Thats a very sharp underwater-photo; Excellent!

Bonnie T. Barry
The photo is so crystal clear I was convinced you were down there with him in the water. WONDERFUL!
Krys Bailey replied
Thanks Bonnie! Hahaha – I’m not into underwater photography! As it was in trying to get shots of these critters I dropped this lens onto the concrete, but it survived OK!
Bonnie T. Barry
Yikes, Krys! Dropping a lens on concrete must have sent your blood pressure up! What a scare; I know the price of those toys and the heartbreak of damaging one. So happy yours made it through the ordeal without any consequences!
Krys Bailey replied
Yep, I think I could say my blood ran cold when I dropped the lens! Mostly I felt a real idiot! The lens WAS on the camera at the time, but as I rotated to focal length ring, my hand must have pressed the lens release button and I wound the lens off the camera!!!! About a 3 foot drop! Kudos to Canon that the glass, autofocus and image stabiliser all survived! A few dents in the casing but you should see the state of my poor overworked cameras! ;o)
Al Bourassa
They are so ungainly-looking, yet so darn graceful and fast in the water. Lovely shot Krys.
Krys Bailey replied
Thanks Al! I wanted to show their grace! Glad you can appreciate it! ;o)
