Red Bubble's First Fossa Foto?
I think so!!! This is a weird and wonderful Fossa (cryptoprocta ferox), native to Madagascar and also known as a Madagascan Civet. It is about the size of a large dog, is carnivorous and is related to the mongoose.

Well; congratulations on having the first Fossa. It is a beautiful animal Krys, and the way you’ve captured it reveals a very intense expression. It looks as though something has definitely caught its attention.

ChrisCoombes
Great shot Krys. I was really hoping to see one when in Madagascar last year but unfortunately not. Knew there was no chance really.
Krys Bailey replied
Thanks Chris! Oh what a shame you didn’t see one in Madagascar! They have such beautiful and unique critters there don’t they? I’d love to visit one day…......... ;o)
Al Bourassa
Awesome shot Krys! Love the clarity you get in your shots.
Krys Bailey replied
Thanks Al! Any clarity is due to the good lenses I use. This was shot through glass so it is always touch and go whether the image becomes softened or not depending on the distance of me or the critter from the glass. They should do away with the glass and let them all roam around freely – would have taken care of some of the more troublesome visitors (and the rest of us!) ;o)))
Cynthia Adams
Yes they do have heffalumps Krys, and I got to see them up close and personal having their bath and feed them loads of Bananas too..fantastic.xxxxxxxxxx
Krys Bailey replied
Awww… super Cyn! I also think there is nothing quite so cute as a baby heffalump…......... ;o)
