Fire and ice! I’ve never seen a snow-capped volcano so this is a real treat! You would be one heck of a geography teacher, Krys! With your own slides and valuable commentaries to drive the lessons home! What a multi-talented person you are!

  • Krys Bailey replied

Thanks Bonnie! Chile is full of snow-capped volcanoes. As a Geography graduate, I should hope I could teach the subject a little!!! Thanks for your kind words – always nice to know I have shared my places with you! ;o)

If I had nothing but money I would be a volcano junkie, I am sure. I will be going to Vesuvius and Pompeii in about 5 weeks.

  • Krys Bailey replied

I agree – volcanoes are fascinating (and very good for our planet as long as you don’t live under one, like in Pompeii!!!) ;o) I visited Pompeii yonks ago as a kid. I’m sure you will love the place with all it’s fascinating excavations! Have fun!

I believe that ring of fire also includes Japan and some Asian countries. No matter where you live, there is something that could cause a catastropic event. xo

  • Krys Bailey replied

You’re absolutely right! The ring of fire circles the Pacific ocean! You’ll have to forgive me whittering on – I am a geographer after all and fascinated by stuff like this!!! ;o) Have a nice weekend!
