Is it spring yet?
This fella didn’t seem to mind the cold – this is the first time I saw him out and about – he was more evasive in the summer weather (I use the term “summer” loosely as I’m still waiting for summer 2008 to start!) ;o)

My mother (born in 1912) had a mink fur coat…they are cold proof, you know !!!

Thank you! Of course Mink SHOULD be warm in winter, but I had a pet Chinchilla who’s fur is arguably warmer than mink and she suffered terribly in the cold! ;o)

Thanks John! I’ve been experimenting with auto ISO on both the 50D and 5D II. Its great for well-lit shots but sometimes goes rather higher than I would have liked. The high ISOs are quite noiseless but still lacks some of the ISO100 crispness!

On day I saw a mink crossing a country road; it had a snake in its mouth! I was shocked and amused but mostly perturbed that he scurried away too quickly to give me a chance to photograph him! I love your candid little fellow here who posed so accommodatingly for the camera! Another great shot, Krys!

Beautiful and very uplifting image , I was fly fishing here in western NJ in a very beautiful river wading up to my chest, and there was a mink on the shore kind of watching me… moving up the river as I fished… curious and beautiful Well done !
