Looks like you could reach up and just touch those clouds! This is breathtaking! Have you ever thought of writing a travelogue? It would make for fascinating reading, kind of like John Steinbeck’s Travels with Charley. I’d buy a copy that’s for sure!

I agree with Bonnie….. I think you can touch the clouds here. This is so pretty!

Thank you, Bonnie! I suppose I could write a travelogue but I have to think what I would do with it! ;o) I’m not an exciting backpacker or anything!

Beautiful capture of this magic place.. and what a lovely sky !
Krys Bailey in reply to Alessandro Pinto’s comment, 2 months ago
Thank you. Unfortunately the clouds were much more dense the other end of the lake, over Parinacota! I thought it was usually solid blue skies up here!!!! ;o)

Nice work Krys. The reflection, or shadow perhaps, of the big gray cloud on the lake is really neat. Great composition.

Amazing place. Wonderful capture. Polarizer?
Krys Bailey in reply to John Wright’s comment, about 1 month ago
Thanks John! I need to go back there on a clear day. No, no polariser! I rarely use a polariser because it cuts out too much light in our British latitudes, although admittedly I was in the tropics here, but hey ho, old habits die hard! :o)
John Wright, about 1 month ago
Wow, so it is just very naturally clean and clear there! Amazing. I think the light is perfect.
Krys Bailey in reply to John Wright’s comment, about 1 month ago
The light IS pretty perfect in the high altiplano here, although there were a few more clouds than I expected! Grrrrr…........
