They apparently filmed that gawd-awful Sylvester Stallone movie (I know, doesn’t narrow the range much) that was SUPPOSED to take place in the Rockies there in the Dolomites. I’ve been in the Alps near the Swiss & Italian border. Someday . . .

  • Krys Bailey replied

Yeah Jay – I saw that film and didn’t know where it was filmed until I recognised the Tofana peaks, near Cortina! I couldn’t believe that anyone would try to pass the Dolomites off as the Rockies!

  • Jay Ryser

    Jay Ryser

    Wait . . . Swiss & Italian . . . I may need to look it up . . .

  • Krys Bailey replied

Could have been Swiss or Italian – they’re all Alps. Italy does have Alps but I prefer the Dolomites!
