I have been a keen shooter since my dad gave me my first camera when I was around 7 years old. The beautiful Dolomites mountains of northern Italy were my first inspiration, snapped on family holidays to the European Continent. Since then I have twice been privileged to visit my dream location of Chile where the diverse landscape and climate is a photographer’s paradise. I’ve also had the pleasure of photographing the scenery and fascinating culture in Peru. I suppose I am an Andes-addict!
At home (in Hampshire) I’m not blessed with mountains to shoot, so fortunately can concentrate on what has now become my main subject – animals – in the wild or in zoos and parks. Where there are critters, that’s where you’ll find me!
I have a bachelors degree in Geography and worked as a Planning Engineer in the defence industry until 2003. In 2004 I became a full time Photographer, publishing images to stock photo libraries, as well as on my own website.
I hope you enjoy viewing my photography as much as I did creating it. Thank you in advance for any comments.

p.s. to avoid ambiguity, I’m a girl Krys (short for Krystyna) – my dad was Polish hence the spelling.
p.p.s. I have a passion for marmots (just in case you didn’t notice!) ;o)
