Waiting for the Resurrection

Kevin Kroeker

Waiting for the Resurrection

Another shot from my cemetery series. This shot really caught my eye, man lays asleep waiting for the resurrection and nature lays dormant waiting for that breath of new life come spring. The orange of the leaves is a promise and a sign of hope that this is not the end of life but only the beginning.

Great shot Kevin. I love the look of the branches against the sky. The way they are, it almost seems that if you pulled on the branches the sky would come with them. Great effect!

Beautiful and evocative image. Excellent digital manipulation. The little red sparks of leaves on the right adds a wonderful focal point and a break from the grey tones. An excellent comp and subject. A welcomed addition to the Human & Nature group.
