I Don’t even need to think twice about this. You’d have to pay me pretty well to use these facilities. The dark sky definitly emphasizes the sense of dread that i’d feel if this was the only toilet available to me.

i did think about it, and it reminded me of a book i have some where, it;s called cotswold privies if you can ever find a copy it makes this one look good, just as a foot note in the bottom of my garden i have a stink pipe and the end cape was made by thomas craper the father of the modern toilet

Hmm, I must be getting older than I thought – I do remember that this was all that we had to use at my grandmother’s home. Great photo.

In Australia there’s a true legend about ‘redbacks’ (poisonous spiders) lurking in these outback ‘dunnies’ (toilets) – I certainly remember them! Great image Kevin

My mom says I potty trained in one of these! Ha Ha! Someday I will buy this one and hang it up in my bathroom. I love it!
