Deep Woods Pitstop

Me and the family went camping over the long weekend with friends and came upon this deep woods lifesaver lol!!!!! These old outhouses make such wonderful and moody subjects that I just couldn’t pass this one up… to photograph… NOT USE! lol

    I like it Kevin,
My cousin lives on the east side of the Cascade Mts of central Washington State. On the property is a 2 holer outhouse with a picture window and a great view to look at while nature is calling. Not sure why you would want 2 places to do business though?

Wonderful Kev – we have a few of these around in Australia also – and traditionally a redback (poisonous spider) lurking …

No thanks! I’ll hold it! lol! However it might be an improvement over some that I’ve had to use over the years that the park service maintains!

clever capture – what is the thing that gets people most about dunnies! We are all interested in the history of them in whatever form (as shown here).

Congratulations on placing this lovely photo in the Top Ten of the Decrepit Doors Challenge in the RUSTIC GROUP! 07 Nov 2008 Looks like this one’s made of OSB, which makes it not so old. . .
After some idiots thought they would cut off power to a pair of casino-hotels south of Las Vegas, Nevada (US), the old ghost town of Goodsprings, Nevada was without power for about 3 months. Many of the residents (ghost towns don’t have to be totally empty!) had never bothered to take down their out-houses, and the deserted old miner’s shacks still had theirs. With no power, the people’s wells didn’t work. No well, no flush for the toilet. This put the out-house back on the map for everybody there! That must have been about 20 years ago or so. Time sure flies.
