A different view of Flinders Street Station #1
While waiting in the queue at the ticket window last week, I took the opportunity to look around, and must say that I don’t think I’ve ever noticed before, just how beautiful the window above the clocks is (apart from one missing pane). Here is the first of a couple of shots showing the station from a different viewpoint.

I must have seen these clocks hundreds of times, but I can’t remember ever noticing the window. How unobservant of me. You’ve complimented them beautifully Karen.

Thanks, Graham – I’m glad you like it. I felt silly for not having noticed the window before, but you just can’t see the detail from the outside. The back-lighting when you are inside shows them up beautifully. Amazing how you stop looking at things you think you know!
