fantastic chris! :)
Fabulous work, Chris!
Agree this is awesome.
An arresting painting…that makes you STOP, pause, lose breath…like DEATH is coming for sure! ;-)
Mind you, I do think it’s a wonderful job that these wildlife photographers do under the sea; swimming with sharks…not the sort of job anybody else would wish to do…being in a totally alien environment like the sea. But, they make it really quite clear; that most sharks, at least, are NOT man-eaters; if they do attack man it’s basically down to sheer curiosity; because they never seen man before; or, they went and mistook a man for say a seal. Then, again, some species do have a reputation for being man-eaters, too; meaning they are so hungry they will eat almost anything any anything that is available to eat.
I totally agree, Paul. Sharks are fascinating and I have the utmost respect for them. When we’re in the sea we are on their turf, their rules.
But as you said only a small number attack people (one in every hundred species, in fact). Actually there was more toilet related injuries in one year in the US (46,000) than there has been shark attacks in the whole of recorded history (25,000)!

top marks for this one Chris!!
Over here in UK/London, we don’t have sharks. I remember seeing one though when I went along to go visit seeing London Waterworld in a huge tank; and, it kept one swimming and swimming like non-stop; I think, sharks need to keep moving in order to breath. When this huge thing started coming towards you directly…that, really and truly, made you think…especially, on seeing all those teeth! As there is virtually no escape…a human being cannot possibly out-swim a shark; they are bigger/stronger/heavier/faster/and, far more areodynamic; their skin looks really tough, as well. Anyway, all I can say, I only ever saw that shark, once; but, it’s something I will never ever live to forget!
