My final piece for my Spring 2010 Illustration Studio class. A mix between two projects, this is both a mock-up album cover for Bat For Lashes’ second release, ‘Two Suns,’ as well as a logo-redesign for the band. I didn’t include the album name because I liked the painting as it was, but I might add it in Photoshop later… plus, it might have been overkill with the literal suns.

Gouache on cold press watercolor paper, stretched over canvas. (This was before I had gesso and absorbent ground to turn the canvas into a workable surface, d’oh.)

Actual piece is 10×10″.
Lettering is based off the font ‘Kingthings Gothique.’

Natasha Khan is bomb.

I’m a Portland-based illustrator living in Montreal, with a BFA in Illustration from Pacific Northwest College of Art. I spent two months roadtripping across America on the back of a motorcycle and now i’m pursuing a tattoo apprenticeship while I’m in Canada, as well as freelancing and making my own personal artwork.
