I just wanted to thank you all so much for your response to my latest series of images “Mental Illness”.
The positive feedback has been great. I’ve had so many comments I’m sorry I will try to respond to them all but I really cant keep up with them all.
It’s probably really important that you all know the big positive being that I have been well for the past 18 or so months and have not had to take any of my medication for about a year, and I really hope that this gives those of you the encouragement to persist and push through anything you might be dealing with. (very funny that as I write this my i-tunes just started playing “help” by the beatles!) We all have the ability to change ourselfs.
Here in Australia 1 in 5 people suffer from mental illness and I’m sure it’s very similar in other countries so we are definately not alone. We all have our demons, It’s how we deal with them that makes us who we are!

Whoah.. you managed to not eat your medicine for a year? You’re strong. i believe you’ll recover! when i first didnt take med for over a mth, i almost end someone.. Oo” We’re never alone Krisso.. ;) we’ll always have ourself. Different people recover differently.. I’m learning to make peace with my demon. Hope yours will tame down too.. Take care!!

Krisso, THANK YOU SO MUCH for letting us “see inside.” It is so rare for your degree of artistic honesty in the world these days.
Sure lots of people can take technically correct or pretty photos… YAWN!
Your work is technically very good, but it has that rare thing – emotion. Your work is up there with Andreas Serrano as far as I am concerned.
I am soooo glad you put these images up for us. They made my day, they really did. The one of the close-up of the doll in the pram next to the rubber glove – yuuuuuuuuuuummmmmm!
As for mental illness: me – I am Autistic (Aspergers), allthough that is not an illness, I also have chronic depression.
