Cardboard windows and attic cuffs

a black crow has guiding wings
as wind slides fallow
to its stark skin
my cartilage slightly splintered
like ossein composite

internal rouge entwines my yellow
swirls of thick claret tide
hovering
bearing
no
witness
save
my
own
eyes

illuminated upon my waking
tossed like dark crumbs walking

the moon
dismembered
like
stitches
no longer sewn
no longer seen

bitter caution slows my flow
reminding me
again of forgotten pulses
and the sheer magnitude
of the midnight raven

a rook beneath my blind fold

Dark and foreboding and heavy with the weight of pain. A powerful piece, Christie.

  • thank you Lianne. Didn’t mean for this to sound so painful. It actually was hopeful really. xxx

Well now. What to say about this. I think your metier is allegory and it features strongly here. A very beautiful piece of writing, my love. It rather speaks to me of a very dark night of your soul and for that I am so sorrowful for you.

    love you lots xxx

  • Metaphorical but no need for sorrow. Its a truth learned through darkness…..whatever doesn’t break you, makes you stronger. I follow the ravens lead. They fly straight xxx
