My friend and boss John “Fed” was diagnosed in April with leukemia.
Living in Buffalo, NY we have one of the finest Cancer Research facilities in the world, Roswell Park.
John is also very blessed to have 2 “perfect 10” match donors. He just needs that window of opportunity where he is well enough and strong enough to have the bone marrow transplant.
My younger brother and I work together and he along with our other Co-Regional Manager formed a committee and came up with “Fed Strong”. Orange is the color for Leukemia, as pink is the color for Breast Cancer. We had orange bracelets with Fed Strong printed in white on them. These were distributed to all our offices in upstate NY.
Pictures from around the region were e-mailed to me and I took photos of all in our office. (Other than the one I’m in). I was tasked with creating the following collage.
It was one of my most heartfelt creations. My brother and I, (we’re just to John’s right, second row from the top) will be presenting this to John in the next couple of days. It is a show of strength and support for our friend. :)
