Demolition "Man"
I’ve been taking walks to capture the progressing demolition of our beloved Memorial Auditorium – “The Aud”. This time I was quite amazed to actually catch a glimpse (and photo) of one of the elusive “Demolition Workers”!!
Coming to check out the sunlight.
When he (?) spotted me he quickly ran back into the work zone, out of sight.
Antanas added the following poem to this piece!!
I’m truly honored my friend!!
Pieva dejone išgirdo//The field heard me moaning
Išgirdus nutylo// Having heard, grew silent
Zada atgavus vel nutylo//And recovering, became silent again

Okaaaaaaaay, you “almost” got me, I had to look close, and now that I recognize the species, what’s interesting about them is they eat what they demolish, so the obvious question is, what advantage is that, since you’d have to clean up after them, but since their waste product is bio-degradable packing peanuts, it’s a mutual advantage. Yes, they work for peanuts.
Keith Reesor replied
LOL!! Thanks so much Syd!! I created the creature with Spore Creature creator, which was an earlier version and component of the game Spore by EA. There are virtually millions of combinations and once you create a creature you can “test drive” it. There is also a camera that can capture .png images!! :)

wow what a great way to use this image and even if they are destroying the building you have captured some beauty here. a wonderful comment on the way we tear down beautiful old buildings in this country, just to build another mall.
Keith Reesor replied
Thank you John!! This is a salvage and demolition job. It was too close to the elevated thruway (partially underneath) to implode it!! :)
