A little Boolean creation I did in Vue.
Loosely based on the Metallica lyrics
King Nothing

    Like how you sculpted this, great reflections too! Here at Hallmark the logo has always been a gold crown, once when in a mood of (something) I changed the logo to Clawmark and elongated the crown until the points were really sharp and bloody, with a tight chain around the bottom… the doctor says I’m doing much better now.

    Oh & as another ekphrasis your creation begs me to tell my true story – I met the Princess, Princess Royal and the Queen of Poland! [Yes Poland had a royal family & the monarchy passed down the matriarchal line – they escaped Hitler and ended up living in my childhood neighbourhood. Helen [the granddaughter of the Queen] was my best friend at school! Now they were Queens of nothing thanks to Hitler!
    This is a brilliant work!

    Thank you very much Varinia!! This was constructed in Vue6 using 6 cones, 4 cylinders, 6 spheres and a point light. Once constructed I decided to make it made of gold. Set it upon a checkerboard plane and adjusted camera angle and lighting!! :)

    Awesome work! Please tell me how you got the checkerboard pattern to look so good? Everytime I use checkerboard patterns they always end up getting pixelized and blurry the further back it goes. In other words, I cannot find the right settings to have all the squares equal size throughout the pic.

    Thank you very much Eric!! It’s all in the “camera” angle. Looking more down on the object, you don’t see the horizon line. In Vue you can adjust the scale of the material and also in edit mode the rotation!! :)

    Even though I took an Art Photography class in High School, I forgot what all the f-stop and ISO settings mean. I really appreciate all the great photographers, such as yourself, here on redbubble.
    I have a Canon powershot sx100. It has a lot of manual settings, but I just normally use the auto setting!! :)
