Amateur photographer who hates post processing. I started taking pics with a box brownie I don’t know how long ago, then (I think) a Konica range finder with 45mm f2.8 and coupled meter. ‘Replaced this with a canon RF with a screw mount, and then a Practica with coupled metering and a Ziess Tessar 45mm f2.8. This was replaced by a Pentax SP1000, then Nikon FE,FEII which led to a Nikon F90x and “good” glass, and strangely, to a Contax G1 with three Ziess lenses.. amazing camera and opitics. In 206, I made the leap to digital with a D200, and I now have that as backup to D700. I simply take photos – of anything! I’m not keen on post processing, but know this is a silly attitude. I will be posting what I think is my best digital and some of my best film stuff. As I said, I photograph anything, and am often amazed to find things in the picture, which “make” it, that I didn’t notice at the time. (I didn’t really notice that my first post had been made up as a face..).
I am a techie, and in choosing my D700, I took some 2000 images with the D700, A900 and 5D Mkii. In the end, the D700 won because its AF is better and the fact that I already had top Nikkor lenses for it..
Is, my stuff really any good? Well, I suppose I’m about to find out..
Take care..
