the lonely fire hydrant vs the poster-boy for despair (augmented) by

so I was dinking around with layers again today and decided to do something with the closet full of negatives I have. Haven’t been pulling them out to get prints off them for quite some time so I figured I’d play around.
After some nostalgia & memory jogging I spent a couple of hours figuring things out, softening the edges of the digital image I plopped onto the film scan, resizing everything to fit… etc etc…

in the end, it looks like a scan of a negative.

I’m going back to taking pictures. this digital manipulation stuff is going to eat what’s left of my soul.

please take a gander at the original .

not a big fan of manipulations, but this is clever and honest.
another thing i like about it is the possible relations between
the two frames, if you know what i mean.well done mate.

  • thanks. I’m not a fan of them either and feel a little whorish when I knock one off. I appreciate the mention of honest.
