great shot…. fun isn’t it… I’ve always been partial to black and white because it’s not how we see so it seems to have more power somehow… but no the less this is a fab bit of work… nice

  • KreddibleTrout replied 25 days ago

I agree. it sometimes does have more power and when used to enhance what it enhances then heck yeah! Bring out that contrast & texture. But some folks just shoot in B&W all the time with no discretion. I guess it makes em feel ‘artistic’.
    Thanks Juilee!

Oh brilliant mate, love the compo in this. I tend to like colour too, its vibrancy and range is similar to how i see life. b&w is nice, for the right place, right time etc. But colour is a little less dramatic, maybe that’s the atttaction :)

thanks parmi. My world is in colour & that’s what I’m sharing.

I’d like to get a dozen before the end of the year & get a calendar going, but I live on a little green island away from such dull opportunities so it’s hard.
    thanks rumimume.

Great find, love the composition on this.

  • KreddibleTrout replied 23 days ago

thanks kim. I like the find too as the basketball net just makes it. It’s stuck to the back of some boring municipal government building where I imagine ‘shooting hoops’ to be something of lore.

This shot is life, love it, so real. Speaking of deja vu… I stopped my car in a tunnel to see what the signs there actually say, similar in composition as this. This is so gritty and real, these little slices that people so often ignore… so, yeah… don’t ever try to stop in a tunnel.

  • KreddibleTrout replied 12 days ago

thank you eels. I have always striven to document the ignored. It’s why I picked up a camera in the first place.
