Invisible Ink

I really do believe in words.

I can communicate to you
any sort of feeling should it have
the words
to satisfy
but
my problem being,

there just
isn’t enough.

the blade-thin realization
that you’re coming out of a dream
and into reality
…there’s no words that can capture that.

the one feeling that rolls down your spine
when you feel eyelashes brush against
the skin specifically to the right of your nose,
just below your eyelid
and you find a home sweet home comfort…

find me a word that satisfies.

even the fleeting sense of urgency
to reverberate external conditions
in the form of creative expression
that shakes me from my sheets and lays me down
face drowned in the screen of a poem
that will never know
the right
words…

you already know my people.

I really do believe in words though.

they serve you thought, feeling, expression
but
the thing is,
you’ll never find the words you need
because…

we were made to create moments that leave us speechless.
