My life spent laying on a cloud

I watched the earth rise from
emerald jade oceans
that
rippled endless textures
like a dream

and I
saw the mountains sprout
out of the
cracked forgotten deserts
as the rains came down to welcome them…
its true

I’ve witnessed fabrics
weave themselves
with beating stones and
sticks for bones
so
they can call themselves
the spitting image
of a faceless man

and I know that your skyscrapers
could touch me if they
stretched
but the city cats could care less
about
a single cloud up in the sky

Yes, thats the life I live
seeing people as a puzzle
falling into place
like destiny
looking up at me
and not knowing
I’m wishing them luck

My life spent laying on a cloud
