An ODE!!

“I always envied the countries
The scenery,the lifestyle,the weather
From wonderful beaches and panoramic sites
Seems people were happy together.

But somehow my image is changing
The envy is fading quite fast
Content with their lifestyle no longer
Seems greed’s taken over the past.

Each person thinks each is much better
Neighbours vying for material things
One has been swayed by the fur trade
The other has so many gold rings.

Me,I own nothing so priceless
In fact what would I do with such wealth?
You can’t take it with you when Death comes to call
Be grateful you all have your Health!

Just look at the Animal Kingdom,
Now from them we could learn such a lot,
A meal now and then is sufficient,
Material ..they don’t give a jot!

Yet here we are struggling to better ourselves,
Mink,Sable and White Fur’s a must,
“Look what I had to have from the store today”
Speaks volumes if you really have Lust.

Poor Animals is what you should think of,
While your wearing their skins on your back,
Animal Activists will put to an end to this trade
Face it..you could look good in a sack!

You may think Synthetics are Cheap and not cool,
If you do your a Snob, or a Toff,
If I see you outside with a Fur round your arms,
I’m afraid I will rip it straight off.!

Remember think twice before buying
What has died so that you can look fine
Just be grateful you have enough money
For a meal and a bottle of wine.”

FUR IS DEAD.
