To watch the Australian birdlife, even for a few minutes a day, can be quite disturbing – or even mind altering!
In order to teach the young how to fly, the parental unit simply kicks them off the end of a branch, or lets them hang upside-down on a twig – knowing that the poor buggers eventually have to drop!
…… Suppose that’s ‘tough love’ in the Bird world…..
Imagine your 40 year old son, still sleeping in his top-bunk, smoking Cuban Cigars!!……….

They must be very nervous for the first time.
Glad you like this one……. We have a little park right behind our house, and in the gum trees there lives a family of magpies, a family of noisy minahs, and a family of lorikeets. Every day they bring their babies down to ‘show’ us (actually they really only want our food!!), and so this painting is dedicated to them and their little families.
