Taking the term shoplifting to its logical conclusion was the downfall of Bec’s first foray into petty crime. How she managed to run away from the security guard whilst wearing those shoes is the stuff of legend! although I am still unsure what she was going to do with a mannequin with one arm and half legs. Unfortunately for Bec the security camera at the Melbourne branch of ‘Koukei ladies outfitters and provider of coarse knitwear’ caught her mad dash for freedom (in those heels!!!) and activated the boutique lockdown mechanism. Bec subsequently disappeared; the police still have no leads regarding her whereabouts, although in the subsequent weeks the Koukei boutique unveiled a new mannequin that bore a very similar look to the erstwhile petty criminal!
