Teaching boys to become men

As fathers we have an obligation to our sons to teach them what they need to know to survive. As grown men we have an obligation to the community. We are the protectors, and bread winners.
Young men today have no discipline, or structure, and therefore turn to the streets for comfort. This is caused by so many of our fathers not stepping up and some ending up in jail, which leaves the young men to raise themselves. If more fathers have a hand in the growth and developement of our youth they will have no reason to enter a life of crime, or join a gang, teach them the skills they need to live successful and fulfilling lives. The mothers are out here playing a double role, and truthfully it’s exhausting, and hard on them.
Any man can be a dad, but it takes a strong individual to be a father. Listen to your kids when they have concerns, don’t just shrugg them off. You are the barrier between the streets and security, get involved, don’t just stand by and watch your seed self destruct.
