WOW Jeremy, you describe this better than me, thank you! Am not very articulate so I always resolve to visuals when I need to communicate something abstract, while hoping it get through.
Jeremy does seem to have a good nack at that doesn’t he. Even though I’m his sister I am sadly lacking in articulate descriptions and like you, I rely on visuals. I really like this one.
Thank you again for the comment guys! And Craig feel free to interpret it however you want, that’s the nice thing about metaphors _ it can be whatever you want it to be!
At first I just loved the image – then I looked closer and understood it’s meaning and it made my heart soar. To me this illustration is what RedBubble is all about, letting the creative child out.
VBS {Happy Dancing all round} :) :) :) Thank you so much Kooky :) :) I got this in the mail today and it is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) Can’t wait to hang it somewhere where EVERYONE will see it and talk about it :) :) VBS Mwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
Hi, I’m new here, but just wanted to add how much I like this image. I see where everyone has come from with their interpretations, but it sparked me in a different direction. I see the pure soul of nature being torn away for the poisoned interest of corporations. But I’m a biologist LOL.
Good Point Damian =D and WELCOME!! Thanks for that, yes, it can mean a lot of things depending on the person, I think I had a very vague and abstract idea of what exactly I wanted to tell, which is why it is easier to put it down as an image.
love the fact that the childs tree seems to be inverted, like it’s turning convention on it’s head… like to see more of that. very profound Kookylane! :)
I just adore this Kooky. So many contrasts working in unison: adulthood and childhood, dark and light, rigid and flowing, aged paper and clean fresh lines, symmetry and chaos, having roots take hold, and holding on to your roots, heavy and weightlessness, repetition and uniqueness. I just can’t look at it enough.
Great image. To me it says ‘Don’t let the roots of conformity pull your down and restrict you – take control, see what grows, and be liberated doing so’.
This one is different, and nice too.. reppetitive forms often find their way into art and in many instances works well, just don’t get Too carried away with that either, but this one is Great!! good work!
Fantastic. Being articulate, either visually or verbally, is a gift. It gives a piece of work “wow”. You’ve got it with this one. I love it. (my work is still aiming for WOW; hope I find it.).

we should plant roots that allow our inner child to soar, not those that trap us in conformity. Thanks for this!
