Absolutely beautiful work! What a great angle.

  • Thank you Lynda. As soon as I saw this view I knew that I had to try it and I think it worked out OK, but I’d like another go sometime.

    lovely! Bron

  • This is the view from inside one of the towers at our local château. Very dark and cool inside. Hot and bright sunshine out in the courtyard!

Yes, I know that version of France, have been there in a very hot summer…. Much as I would wish I could do lovely watercolours as you do, I do appreciate that France and Italy in particular really lend themselves to watercolours, they seem to do the light justice. Absolutely charming. B

  • sorry for late reply Bron. Yes the summer here can be very hot but the winter very long and cold. Thankfully the winter is over so the hot sunny light-filled days will soon be here. Thank you for your kind comments.

What a magnificent painting Ian, your depiction of light and textures is stunning!

  • That’s really nice of you Constance. I was pleased with the reflected light on the stone walls, but know that I can do the whole thing better some day……I think!
