Boatman And Whorls

Boatman And Whorls

A boatman puttering homewards in the early evening, creating whorls in the calm estuary waters.

I’m pleased to say that I’ve sold an A4-sized print of this photo to a local Painter/Artist, and I’ve also sold it a number of times as RedBubble cards …

The movement in the water is stunning, but as a whole shot it’s just brilliant. Wish I’d taken this x

Thanks sticky. It was one of those end-of-day ‘grab’ shots that only revealed itself later! I’ve got a nice mounted copy ready to give to the boatman when I can locate him again.

Love this Colin… love where the water & the sky are seamless. Really allows the eye to focus on the subject.
One of those end of day gems!!!
    Cheers Lee

  • Colin S Pearson replied

Many thanks Lee, and yes, definitely an end of day surprise shot! (By the way, all those clouds at the ‘top’ are reflected in the glass-calm water ahead of the boatman. My high vantage point on the river bank meant I only had to crop a small part of the far side, where the mud and reeds just crept in at the top of the frame.)

  • Colin S Pearson replied

Thanks for the ‘fave’ too Lee :0)
    All the best, Colin
