This time of year the alternating periods with thaw and frost makes the most peculiar natural sculptures.
You have to be rather fast, though, and lucky with a nice lighting….

Shot at “my” beach below the Gallow’s Common on the Baltic island of Bornholm with a Canon EOS 500D and an EFS 18-135mm zoom lens.

Processed entirely in Lightroom 3.2 with a moderate split toning to enhance the mood.

Based on the Danish island of Bornholm.

Shoots in RAW, process in Lightroom.

Another great display of light and ice scuplturing Keld, love the way that the light shines so brightly on the ice, illuminating it’s whiteness as the shadows show the depth and detail of the packs of ice.

  • Thank you so very much, Stuart. And thanks awfully much for the fav. I’m honoured.
I was very lucky to have some soft sunlight on the ice. Thank you.
