I'm slowly re-emerging

Hello again,
and thanks very much to those of you, who sent so many good wishes in my “Terribly busy” journal.
However, things did not turn out very well. On the day before my trip to Sweden I went down with what at first was considered to be some stress-related symptoms. But further on I’ve become more of the opinion that they are some depressive-related ones. Or maybe both.
I have in the past been through depressive periods, but never as paralysing as this.
Anyway, I missed both the model convention and the Adams exhibition because I felt completely grounded and I had actually no interest in these at the time. I’m quite sorry about that now.
Still, I’m slowly re-emerging through the surface, and I shall soon be back here as much as I used to be. Thank God that I’ve been able to work with my images all along. And thank God even more to all you wonderful people at RB for being here and showing your works to the rest of us. I have checked the news here every day and enjoyed your images from all around the Globe, but haven’t had the energy to comment much. But be assured that merely knowing you and being able to see your images and your writings is a great support.
Well, I shall soon be my good self again, wiser than ever about knowing what to pay attention to.
Thank you,
Keld

Hey Man, take it easy, just get better. When I am in those depressive mood, I go down to the rocks on the beach, just sit and watch the waves coming in & out, breaking over the rocks on high tide & washing the sand & shells. , I take a card full of images and my find one or two that make my day & break the mood.

    Take care.
    Warren.

  • Kofoed replied

Hey Warren. Thank you very much.
I have oftentimes done the same. Sitting on a stone on a deserted beach is most mind-mending.

Hugs Keld – somtimes that black pit just drags us in, and it is so hard to see beyond. So pleased you have been able to share this … I too love to go somewhere alone in nature and just sit during ‘dark’ times. Very healing. Words don’t make much difference, but the love and support of friend is vital and encouraging. Know that you have a global family thinking of you mate!! xx

  • Kofoed replied

Thank you so very much, Rosalie. So very kind of you.
I really do appreciate your supportive words, and I’m so happy to be a part of this global family. You, the family members, render such a massive support, much more than I have ever known.
    Thank you.

Keld, I was so sorry to read that you had to miss the convention and the Adams exhibit, and the reason for it. I was glad to read that you are feeling better now. I wish the best for you. I would think that the five months of darkness in your part of the world would be difficult. I can’t imagine what that would be like. We will look forward to seeing some more of your beautiful photography in the future. Suzanne

  • Kofoed replied

Thanks very much, Suzanne. Most kind of you.
I am feeling a lot better and shall soon be on top of things again.
Well, the darkness was more in a figurative sense, we still have light of day, but on weekdays we are working during the light hours. Still have the week-end’s, though.
Thank you, Suzanne. Your support is really appreciated.

So sorry that you haven’t been your at best Keld.
Fortunately depression something I’ve not suffered. People around me have though so I know it can be almost crippling.
As seen by the comments here, you have many friends. Consider me one of them.
If you want to just journal your thoughts & feelings do that. We’ll all listen & respond & generally just ‘be there’.
    Blessings to you Keld.

  • Kofoed replied

Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart, Gail. This is most kind of you.
I do feel I have many friends here, and this massive support is quite overwhelming.
Thank you, blessing to you also Gail, my friend.
