Thank you, Helene – I just put another of my “Industrial” clocks into the kiln this afternoon. I’m looking forward to seeing the end result tomorrow (patience is not a virtue of mine…lol)

I saw this shortly after you posted it and didn’t bother to comment. But now I am impressed by how memorable it is. By the way, is it a real clock? I mean, do you put clockwork mechanisms into these things so that they are functional?
KNGodin replied
Hi Doug – yes, it is a real clock & functionality is key. I drill a hole during the initial process of designing the piece and maintain the opening during the fusing. After it’s completed, I add a simple battery operated clock mechanism that can be found at any craft store.
I’m glad you found it memorable! :)

Love this. I really like how you bunched up the #s around 12/3/6&9. Makes the time mysterious. Oh, I also really dig that second hand. I don’t think that came with the clock innards.
KNGodin replied
Thank you, Gary! Most people don’t notice the way the numbers are positioned, for some reason…but it’s one of my favourite things about this clock. You’re right about the 2nd hand, too…I found that separately! ;)
