Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens is run by the National Park Service in Washington, D.C. June through August are the best months to see water lilies and lotus flowers here. You might also see some critters, especially early in the morning. I’ve seen frogs, beavers, turtles, great blue herons, muskrats, ducks, geese, and deer. It’s a good park for bird watching. In addition to the ponds out front, don’t forget to walk behind the ranger station. More water lilies of all colors are in the small ponds back there.

I moved to the Washington, DC area in August of 2011 and have found no shortage of fun and amazing things to photograph ever since. The parks, museums, monuments, and gardens in this part of the USA are fantastic. I hope you enjoy viewing the photos as much as I enjoy taking them.
