I love the rain:
sheets of water blurring the landscape beyond;
the dance of leaves at its touch;
the rippling circles spreading and mixing in puddles;
the lingering scent of sweet foliage;
the refreshing embrace of air and water
the cool caress pattering my skin
the steady beat of rhythm on the ground, a
the blending of motor, tree and wind in a constant tempo
the sight of folks running through puddles with books over their heads
And when the spell is over:
the gleam of sunlight on wet leaves
the lingering scent of sweet foliage;
colours bursting anew
birds singing with refreshed vigour
the lightness in the air
I know it causes misery to many:
when there is too much;
when there is too little;
when it ruins hair styles and splashes on clothing;
I simply can’t help myself.
It’s just too much fun.
This may be unpopular, especially in the Uk and Japan right now. But as I say, I simply can’t help myself!
