“You’re sure no-one else knows?” Josie whispered hoarsely, pulling my arm and breaking my stride.
“Yes I am.” I turn and scowl at her. Wide, blue eyes stare back at me from a pale face, framed by brown curls. “This is my secret place, and I trust you to keep it that way.”
“Secret!” Growling I turn to continue along the dirt path. Honestly the woman was useless. It’s just as well she was gorgeous, or I might not have bothered.
Pushing my way through the overgrown foliage I ignore Josie’s whimpering and hurried, knowing the optimum time was approaching. Lingering water drops from the afternoons shower fell from the canopy or brushed onto our clothes from their resting places on the surrounding leaves. Soon our sleeves, skirt and trousers were soaked. Josie added shivering and moaning to her whimpering and I found myself starting to regret agreeing. I had thought it folly to begin with, but she was so …persuasive.
“It had better be worth it.”
“It is!” I snarled, without looking back, if I did I would lose my patience and have done with it. “Now shut up and hurry, we’re nearly there.”
Pressing through the final barrier into the glade, Josie gasped and released her tight grasp on my arm.
“Oh David! It’s fantastic!”
“Will it do?” I grin, twirling her round until she giggled. The expression on her face is a heady aphrodisiac.
“Oh yes! I want to remember tonight.”
“Yyou will honey, trust me, you will.” Nuzzling her neck, the unique scent of her combined with sweet shampoo and soap sent tingles down my spine.
Pressing her body closer against mine, she threw back her head, offering me her delicate throat as her long hair danced against my skin and sent a rush of anticipation through me.
“Oh David!” She groaned, feeling my excitement. “Don’t wait, do it now!”
I needed no encouragement. Drawing back my lips, I sank my teeth into her neck as the light of the full moon lay a silken coating on our skin. Her eternal life was guaranteed.
My second, and much better entrant, for the twisted tales- start twister 60- secret- prompt.
I had trouble with this one though, in so much as I started off writing the characters as children, but it evolved as you will see- I could do so much with the start, and trailed into a bit of a predictable route. I may explore the others at a later date, once I have them worked out!
