Red Rose by Karen Betts

Taken with a compact Camera Powershoot A3100 IS. 2011.

This beautifrul red rose was in a bouquet I was given a while ago.

So had decided that today after doing RB hosting jobs I would sit and process a image.

Did a slight crop in Photoshop Cs3 then dropped the image into Efex pro 3 colour. played around with the different tags and loved what happened to the colour when i dropped it into Burnt Sienna layer rose became a richer tone.
Then put it into Tonal contrast for a slight tweak to lift petals and then into Vinagrette Blur to soften the edges and focus the eye to the center of the flower.

Ooh wow! Karen this is outstanding. Such a gorgeous colour, and beautiful frilly rose.

  • Thank you Cynthia this one just developed itself really did very little to it. Have to say love the richer colour the *Siennia layer gave it.
