Image 7 sunday 6.3.2011 in my goal to do a image a week I am a day late :)
Simon and I had a great couple of hours playing around with flowers and things from my house to try our skills we had got some balck cloth as a background and tried macro and extension tubes.
This is one of my orange Geum just fading and going over I loved the tuffty back of it as it bent its head.
Nikon D90 -18 105 Vrlens
Extension tube 12mm
FL 105mm
F. 5.6
Exps 1/640

Tripod ( still would rather hand hold my camera)
very low light, 12 mm extension tube.
Processed in photshop CS3 levels and crop from right. Then into efex pro 3 tweak into tonal contrast to lift the petals and fluffy area, then dark and light.

flower, single, macro, extension tubes, yellow, abstract, nature

this makes for an intriguing image karen… i LOVE the composition, the negative space, the colours mysteriousness of the subject
Thank you Carol for your lovely comment and you find it intriguing it is my fading Geum petals drooping down and you have this wonderful tuft of green. I hardly did much to the image but loved the feel of it just had something :)

Great perspective, love the negative space, real moody feel to it. Wonderful work, so creative!
Great detail Karen but it’s the muted light set against that jet black background that is really impressive.
