2 Red telephone boxes by Karen Betts
Clear

Taken on the back street of harleston, Norfolk Uk by the Church, 26.6.09

I love these, I feel lucky that we do not just have 1 but 2 in the center of our small town, right next to the main Church and next to the Bus shelter. I do not know how old they are, a bit run down but for me will always be special a disappearing part of our heritage, for more modern sleek looking forms.

These are turning into a rarity, even though they really are something which sets the UK tradition! We are lucky there are quite afew still around in conservation areas down here..Even found a couple of green ones..but alas no blooming camera :) Great shot!!

  • yes i agree with you a rare sight, must say they took out the old main post box for a new modern one, wish i had photographed that. green ones not seen any like that, think i will have to pay more attention when im out on my travels and get more of this English hertiage before it disappears before our eyes. Appreciate you leaving a lovely comment. : )
