A lone bicycle parked under Chinese New Year signs in a small walled village outside of Beijing. The village was once a part of the Chinese version of the Pony Express

I love this !!
this really is a wonderful picture… i love the old time bicycles of asia and your selective colouring of red works really well.
Please add this to the “Amazing Asia” group?Great capture Kliu.
thanks for the invite—I did.
So simple yet so classical and powerful. Melanie is right you just gotto add it to the Amazing Asia Group
And does the sign say, “No bicycle parking!”? I’m sure it doesn’t— there would be a punishment that would make it very prohibitive to park there. Excellent photo with selective color.
Thanks for your comment. Red signs like that are hung for Chinese New Year. They usually talk about good fortune and spring arriving.
Great picture and tone.

Beautiful image..I like it.I’m going to show off a bit,:-D since I’m from Beijing.. The word means “Happiness”, and the some ones mean ‘we are under the light of good luck and harmony’, maybe it doesn’t make sense in English, but that’s in Chinese way..:-)
Sorry, spelling mistakes, I meant “the Small words” not “some”
