In the No.1 hold on the wreck at a depth of 100ft/30m, you can still see several Willeys jeeps. These were originally packed for transport in wooden crates, which have long since rotted, and packed in such a way that the wheels were removed and placed on the back seat. The windscreen was on top of the wheels, and the steering wheel packed in one of the wheel rims. They were stacked on top of each other, but as the ship now lies on her side they are on their rear ends. Just one of the many relics to be found on the President Coolidge, Santo Vanuatu.
I am planning a trip for early this year, if any one is interested drop me a bubblemail, and I will keep you informed. Anyone is welcome, diver, non diver, overseas or Australia. I will arrange everything.
