Colorado River by Nancy Richard

The first glimpse of the Colorado River about 1 mile below the Grand Canyon rim, does not do justice to this mighty river. With great demands for its waters, it is barely more than a trickle by the time it reaches the Gulf of California.

Grand Canyon National Park continues to be threatened by mining interests.

I am deeply concerned about environment, wildlife, and animal welfare, feeling a strong commitment to leaving the planet in better shape for new generations. Therefore, I support a number of charities that reflect those interests.

I have a degree in English and Library Science, but if I had my life to live over, I would have loved to have been a photographer, writer, and/or National Park ranger.
