Columbia glacier flows south into Prince William Sound, out of the Chugach Mountains, Alaska. It is quickly calving its ice at an alarming rate. Will it be there for our grandchildren? Only time will tell.

I am deeply concerned about environment, wildlife, and animal welfare, feeling a strong commitment to leaving the planet in better shape for new generations. Therefore, I support a number of charities that reflect those interests.

I have a degree in English and Library Science, but if I had my life to live over, I would have loved to have been a photographer, writer, and/or National Park ranger.
