Located in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts (USA) this trolley bridge was saved from being torn down, and an unusual garden was created. It now attracts over 30,000 visitors a year with its aboretum like flowers which bloom from April to October. Off Rte. 2, it is located on Massachusett’s famous “Mohawk Trail”.

I am deeply concerned about environment, wildlife, and animal welfare, feeling a strong commitment to leaving the planet in better shape for new generations. Therefore, I support a number of charities that reflect those interests.

I have a degree in English and Library Science, but if I had my life to live over, I would have loved to have been a photographer, writer, and/or National Park ranger.

Gorgeous…it’s a good thing they didn’t tear the bridge down…there would likely be some eyesore in its place. At least that’s what the powers that be would do in this country!

  • Thanks, Kratos! You’re right about that. The women’s garden clubs in the area plant and tend the flowers, and it has become a tourist attraction.

THis is gorgeous..is this the Merrimac River? Have friends living on it…

  • Rich, I think that it’s the Connecticut River which runs north to south between New Hampshire and Vermont, then Mass. and Vermont (ends up around Connecticut). The Merrimac is further east. Anyway, thank you.
