Honestly, I wouldn’t even think twice about photographing a Canadian Goose, it is like a Robin, nothing special and they are all over the darn place in absolute droves. However when a good shot presents itself, regardless of subject and or species, I am all about it! So it was with this guy afloat on St Vrain State Park’s Pelican Pond. Adorned in the morning sunlight, I simply loved the color palette here and how striking it was. Now and then good old Mother Nature gives up something spectacular in a very non spectacular subject.
