Como, Colorado

This little town is one which I love, virtually a Ghost Town these days, it offers up a glimpse of the past with the wild west, with how time completely stands still here. One of my favorite places to shoot at, it has a lot to be seen, especially with how much of it is preserved.

Every time I go there to shoot I always stop to say hello to the Horses as you enter the town. These Horses are working Horses, and it shows…but they are also very beautiful, not to mention friendly.

Captured on my Minolta 55 using a Sigma 29-90mm Mini Macro Zoom lens, blended HDR …hope you all like it!

This is a great mood you have set up with the composition. The horse looks so lonely and forgotten about. Beautiful shot John!

Looks so much better when viewed larger. I like the mood, enhanced by the cloudy sky. Nice composition!

Love the distant Rockies and the more-subtle, artistic use of HDR to get that suberb dynamic range. Beautiful shot, with a splendid sky. I remember Como — just off 285? Near Fairplay?

Great photo John!! Sounds like a wonderful place to visit. This guy looks so lonely in this vast country that I feel sorry for him.
