I’m an amateur photographer. I’ve been an avid photographer since I was 12 when I got my first camera- and before digital photography existed. I mostly shot in B&W because I liked the contrasts and shadows. B&W was more interesting to me than color. I got a lot of inspiration from Ansel Adam’s work. I won many first-place ribbons (and a “Best of Show” ribbon) for my B&W photography before I was 18.
For me, photography isn’t about being the best but about seeing the world in a different way-a way that many overlook. The simplest things in life are art and the real talent is how to capture them.
